Dr. Kayla Amin is a licensed naturopathic doctor with a focus in homeopathic and integrative treatments for mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PMDD and OCD. Dr. Amin believes in an approach to healing that emphasizes wholeness through a physical, psychological, and spiritual understanding of what makes us ill and has the potential to make us whole again. Her specialty is in treating the root causes of mental illness through compassionate exploration and safe, gentle and individualized naturopathic treatments. It is through a disconnection with our body’s innate ability to heal that we become sick, lost, confused and hopeless. With support from the healing power of the natural world, we are capable of returning to full wholeness and health.

 

Dr. Amin grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and later received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. She completed extensive clinical training in homeopathy with many of the leading homeopathic physicians in the country and internationally. As a former yoga teacher with roots in Eastern medical traditions, Dr. Amin is also passionate about using mindfulness and meditation to help bring individuals more in connection with their physical bodies and with their truest expression of themselves. Having spent extensive time in India, she has a deep respect for and knowledge of systems of medicine that understand the healing power of the natural world to bring ourselves back into connection with who we are on the deepest level. Her work uses a foundation of carefully selected homeopathic remedies and somatic-based psychoeducation to unlock and reconnect with the wisdom of our bodies and highest expression of our true selves.
